CLEX Legal keeps a library of legislation written as plain compliance items, and an applicability check that compares each law with the facts about your organisation and every unit: its state, industry, type of organisation and conditions such as headcount. You adopt what applies, and the rest is set aside with a reason.

Applicability, answered once
Tell CLEX Legal where you operate, what you do and how large each unit is. It reads those facts against every law in the library and shows what applies, what does not and what it could not decide.

Plain-language compliance items
A law becomes a short list of things to do: register, renew, file, keep a register, display a notice. Each item says how often it falls due, which day, what the person doing it provides and what it costs to miss it.

Versions that never change under you
A published version of a law is fixed. When it is amended, a newer version is published beside it; you are told, you read what changed, and you move when you are ready.

Your own legislation too
Add the policies and contractual rules your business holds itself to, and offer them to the library if they would help others. Your own items sit beside the library's, never replacing them.

How does CLEX Legal decide that a law applies to a unit?
Each law states who it is for: the states it covers, the industries and types of organisation, and conditions such as a number of employees. CLEX Legal compares those statements with the facts you give about each organisation and unit, and shows the reasoning for every answer.
What happens when a law is amended?
A new version is published next to the old one. Workspaces that follow the law are told, can read a comparison and the release note, and move to the new version when they choose. Nothing already recorded is rewritten.
